Dubai Police App Allows People to Check Criminal Status Online
Now checking your criminal status in the country is made easy. You can instantly access the information from anywhere and anytime. Dubai Police introduced a new service in Feb’2019, where one can check their criminal status on the Dubai Police website and or Mobile App. The service also helps to know if you have ever been involved in a financial case and you have a travel ban.
The Artificial Intelligence Department at Dubai Police explained that this smart service would help residents who used to travel to the police stations to inquire about cases against them. The service ensures that it saves time and effort in getting information.
Al Razooqi, Director of Artificial Intelligence Department, also commented that the e-service provided by Dubai Police is a part of their strategy to develop people-centric service. The service is developed in collaboration with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). The service is available 24X7 and is absolutely free.
How to check if you have a travel ban in Dubai?
Before you commence using the service, make sure you have Emirati ID, then follow the below-mentioned steps:
1. Go to Dubai Police Website (https://www.dubaipolice.gov.ae/) or download the Dubai Police app, which is available on both Android and iOS platforms.
2. If you understand Arabic, then you can go ahead else change your language preference to English.
3. Go to Services in the main menu option, then choose individuals.
4. Look for “Criminal Status for Financial Cases”.
5. Enter your Emirates ID to check for the financial cases against you.
